Two nights’ accommodation in one of our Classic Double rooms with breakfast each morning served in the Haycock Kitchen – ooh, that’s heaven on its own.

Then it’s tea, coal, smoke and steam…

We’ll evoke all the romance of a bygone era for you as you will be riding aboard the Fenman train on the famous Nene Valley Steam Railway whilst you enjoy our award-winning Afternoon Tea and our Signature Cocktail, all packed in a beautiful hamper. That’s Saturday afternoon taken care of!

You may want to enjoy an afternoon Siesta afterwards as we have plans for your Saturday evening.

So, Saturday evening, experience a seasonal 5-course tasting menu in our Michelin recognized fine dining restaurant, Prevost.

And of course, it doesn’t stop there. On Sunday, you will be able to enjoy a lazy Sunday Lunch in our Brasserie – ‘Haycock Kitchen’ – with a £35.00 per person allowance (if you fancy a roast – note: our spuds are legendary).

The Fenman Train

This is an experience of traditional British luxury from the Victorian era. This nostalgic Steam train will transport you through the beautiful Nene Valley from Wansford’s very own station close to the hotel – and bring you straight back if you just want a lazy, easy afternoon.  You could hop off at one of the other stations if you like, maybe Peterborough, to visit Peterborough Cathedral, an iconic building constructed by the Normans 900 years ago and largely untouched since! Whatever you decide you will travel in one of the old 1st Class Continental Carriages which exude a stylish elegance that elicits the mood of the era like nothing else.
